Flow State
Retreat to the Cornish Peninsula this August bank holiday
22nd - 25th August 2025
Soak up the last of the Summer sun for four days (three nights) in the healing lands of Erth Barton in Cornwall, England

The yoga.
Within the container of our retreat we’ll learn to move beyond distractions towards a place that exists within each of us: a place where time slows down, our senses are heightened and we are at one with the task at hand. Here, action and awareness synchronise to create an effortless momentum known as the flow state of mind.
A mind that is trained to be calmer, clearer and more present is more likely to experience flow state. To encourage this, we’ll look to movement, meditation and relaxation techniques to build a sense of fluidity between body and mind.
Our mornings will centre around a complete yoga practice that includes pranayama (breath work), meditation and a playful slow flow sequence suitable for all experience levels.
In the afternoons we’ll explore somatic movement and Yin yoga, while evening relaxation will highlight sound baths and yoga Nidra to promote deeply restful nights.
Your time on retreat is entirely yours so although I encourage you to join all classes to enjoy the full retreat experience, you’re equally welcome to take time for yourself and rest up whenever you desire.

The venue.
Imagine yourself driving across a narrow bridge, onto a small peninsula. 300 acres of regenerative farmland, encircled by the River Lynher with views to Dartmoor on one side, and the village of St Germans on the other.
Symbolically and physically you’re leaving behind the noise and rush of everyday life. This is unspoilt land. There are no public footpaths here and every step is taken with care for the land beneath our feet.
Fields of wild flowers, buzzards, skylarks, swallows, geese, egrets, fallow deer in the oak-filled woodlands, owls calling across the river at night… you’ve entered another world.
Perched on Erth Hill is your destination: Erth Barton. Our home while on retreat.
Its large granite mullion windows look out over the tidal river as it breathes in and out twice daily, bringing with it an ever-changing landscape and light.
Here is a place that marries its medieval roots with a 21st century vision of what it might mean to live simply - rewilding ourselves by becoming immersed in a natural landscape teeming with wildlife.
